MSU Students
Welcome to Bozeman and First Presbyterian Church!
The Presbyterian Mission at Montana State University Bozeman
Mission Statement
The mission of First Presbyterian Church to the university community
is first, last and always to affirm the Good News of Jesus Christ.
Please join us this Sunday or any Sunday for worship at 8:30 with casual style and music, and at 10:30 with a more traditional worship service. Sunday school classes are at 9:30 and include an older youth class. (The teacher, Debby Haynes, treats everyone who attends to a mocha; so text her at 581-0925 if you want one!) The adult class is doing a study of the entire Bible called The Story. You are welcome at either of these classes. The church is located downtown on the southeast corner of S. Willson and W. Babcock
MSU Peer Leader Scholarships
In 2010, First Presbyterian Church, on behalf of the Yellowstone Presbytery, introduced a scholarship program for MSU students. We are pleased to announce that this scholarship program will be offered again in the 2011-2012 acadmic year. Renewable scholarships are offered for Montana Presbyterians who would like to find a church home with us while pursuing their university studies in Bozeman. Our church believes that a stronger linkage with individual students will benefit the church and students alike. Students are asked to propose a participation role in church activities, or to start a new mission or activity for which they have energy. Other than the scholarship funding itself, there are benefits for students including host families and networking for internships and career possibilities. Interested students can review the application material at the link below. The first set of scholarships were awarded for Fall 2010.The application window for the scholarships is on a "rolling" basis (continuous application process). Interested students are encouraged to apply. Students with questions or who would like to visit about the program may contact Pastor Dan Krebill (dan@fpcbozeman.org) or 406-586-9194; or Elder Nancy Giddings (ngiddings@bridgeband.com).
